Easter in Kansas

We spent Easter Weekend in Kansas.   It's a long 13 hour drive, but it was time for a visit so we decided to just suck it up and go.  What are the chances Jake will come down with a stomach virus the very day we are leaving......apparently 100%.  Poor guy threw up every hour for the first 4 hours (and poor me because I had to sit next to him)!  It was rough but we spent the night in a hotel and the next day went much better.  We did manage to get back home in one day, leaving at 7am and getting home at 11pm.   I had a good book, the kids had movies and Matt had a book on tape.

Once we finally got there we had a great time visiting, relaxing, fishing and playing.  Totally worth the drive (once a year anyway).

Beautiful Weekend!

We finally got a beautiful weekend and we enjoyed every minute of it!!  especially with snow in the forecast for Tuesday :)

It was a perfect day for Grace's first soccer game and she scored three Goals!!!!!!!  It was awesome.

The kids played with the neighbors, we went for a family bike ride, Matt grilled, we got iced coffees, the kids watched an evening movie outside, we had coffee on the deck in the morning, and went fishing!

Spring Break!

We go to Florida a lot,  however, this time was very different.  Instead of staying at the B&B, which is wonderful, but not really kid friendly, we got a rental condo right on the beach.  It was AMAZING!  It was simple and small, but the view.....I LOVED THE VIEW!

It had the perfect little covered porch and space for the kids to play.  It was incredibly relaxing to just sit, watch and listen to the water,  I didn't even have to get out of my pajamas!  We saw Winter at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, played on the beach, went to playgrounds, date night, miniature golf with Grandpa, and Busch Gardens....a pretty good Spring Break.

The kids had a great time at Busch Gardens!  Jake is sitting next to Matt on the roller coaster, he loved it, they did it twice in a row.  Grace wanted to go by herself!
