Jake says Grace (sort of)!!

Jake has finally started saying his sisters name (in a very unique way).  It took me a while to figure out what he was saying and I'm don't think I could explain it so here is a little YouTube clip:

Zachary

I got to go to DC last weekend and visit Zachary.  He looked so much bigger than last time I saw him and he is really showing his personality.

Leavenworth: Take 2

Two weeks ago we tried to go to Leavenworth for the night.  We loaded up the car and headed out around 8am Saturday.  About 45 minutes into the 2.5 hour drive Jake threw up.  He had not been sick at all, so this was very strange.   We started thinking about all the food we'd given him that morning while we were busily packing and it goes something like this:  cheerios, orange, apple, juice, fruit bar and veggie chips (I might be forgetting a few things).  We stopped the car and cleaned him up and kept going, thinking it was just a fluke.  Well, repeat this scenario two more times and we decided to call it quits (plus we had gone through all Jake's clothes).

We tried again last weekend and had a successful trip.  We went on a horse drawn sleigh ride, sledding on a small hill in town, went out to dinner and played in the snow.  We had beautiful weather and even got to sleep in (sadly I consider 6:30 sleeping in, but it's much better than 5:30).

Cleveland???

It's official, we are moving to Cleveland.  I've been telling more and more people about this over the past week and the response is always the same:  a pause and then "Cleveland?" and then they usually don't know what to say next.  Some people admit that they are not exactly sure where it is on the map, and some people are confused because they don't understand why there would be Coast Guard there.  It's been pretty amusing.  I admit I was not happy when I first got the news, especially since it was the third day of being snowed in here in Seattle.  I've accepted the fact that that's where we are going, like it or not.  I am focusing on the good things: low cost of living, closer to family (even a few relatives there), and four distinct seasons (unlike Seattle, with a great summer and then 8 or 9 months of cold).  I am really looking forward to a family road trip this summer and a whole new part of the country to explore!

Here's a few fun pics of the kids!
