Grace and Jake growing up

Brushing Grace's hair is one of my least favorite things to do every morning (I guess it's one of her least favorite things too), so we got it cut.  I was nervous about getting bangs, but I think it looks good and it is definitely easier to fix, plus it doesn't fall in her face as much.  She is also now missing her two front teeth!

Jake used to ignore me when I would ask for a "smile" for the camera.  He will smile now, which is great, but works a little too hard at it.

Jake is talking more and more all the time.  He says many words I understand and many more that I don't.  Here's a few examples:

didi - sticky
I - ice (as in I want ice in my drink, but if you put it in I'll scream, I want to do it)
mo - more
jew ba - juice box
ow - out  (as in I want out of my crib)
ori - orange
naaa - snack
moomie - smoothie
beeba - pizza
mo wow - more water
ba - bath
nam - salami

he uses "yahwah"  for everything else

Still Snowing - Day 5

It is still snowing in Seattle!  Grace had an hour of school on Tuesday and none yesterday or today.  I haven't heard about tomorrow yet.  Matt left yesterday morning for Cleveland, so it's been a long couple of days stuck inside.  We did manage to walk to QFC yesterday, but today it's been nonstop mist or icy rain or snow.  It's not so much fun anymore.

Snow Day!

We finally got some snow, a nice treat on a cold three day weekend!   We went sledding, tried to build an igloo and a made snowman.

Museum of Flight

Recently we took the kids to the Museum of Flight.  It is free every first Thursday evening, so we got Matt from work and headed down there.  Jake was in heaven, planes, cars and machines were everywhere and plenty of space to run, which is what they did for an hour.   Every picture of Jake is of the back of his head.  It was a lot of fun.

Grace Lost a Tooth!

Grace lost her tooth yesterday!  She went to see the Muppets with her school friend, Paige (and her Mom) for Paige's birthday.  It fell out right after the movie and she saved it for the tooth fairy (and got two one dollar coins).
